Cap and Gown Information

  • Students will be required to purchase a cap, gown and tassel unit.
    • Everything may be ordered online through Jostens.com . Scroll down to find the individual Cap and Gown units. A cap and gown unit includes, Cap, Gown, Stole, and Tassel for $55, the price will increase on Feb 1.

Mandatory Graduation Practices

  • There will be two mandatory graduation practices for Seniors the two days prior to graduation.
    • TBD @ 8:00 am
    • TBD @ 8:00 am
  • Graduation practice will take place at 8:00 a.m., in the Gainesville HS Auditorium. Please enter through Door 33. All students must participate in both practices to participate in the ceremony. Students are to leave GHS immediately after graduation practice.

Graduation Day Information

  • Student Information for Ceremony
    • Graduates must be in line at the loading dock of EagleBank Arena, no later than (TBD). Students who are late will not be able to participate in the ceremony.
    • All students are required to wear their red cap, gown, and stole ordered through Jostens.
    • Cap Decoration: Caps may be decorated but the decorations must be two-dimensional and have no reference to anything that could be considered offensive or derogatory. Cap Decorations will be approved at the graduation practices. If you have questions, please see an administrator on duty during lunch.
    • Student Dress: Students should wear dress clothes (dresses, skirts, dress slacks, dress shirts). Dress shoes should also be worn. Keep in mind that you will be walking up a ramp and down a set of stairs when choosing your shoes.
    • Please do not bring purses or bags, as they are not allowed by EagleBank Arena, or anything "extra" as you will not be able to carry them across the stage with you and we will not have staff on hand to collect and keep the items during the ceremony. Balloons, face cutouts, noisemakers, etc. are not allowed.
  • Family Information for Ceremony
    • Tickets are NOT required for the ceremony and there is no guest limit. Arena staff will be able to assist with any handicapped parking or seating needs.
    • Parents will be able to enter EagleBank Arena at TBD
    • EagleBank staff will assist with entry and staff will be around the arena passing out programs. For any assistance with handicapped seating, the arena staff will be on hand to assist.
    • EagleBank Arena currently uses CEIA OPENGATE Magnetometers to screen upon entry. There is also a clear bag policy in place for all patrons, bags should not exceed 12”x12”x 6”. If a guest requires a bag for parental or medical needs, the bag will be searched at entry and tagged. Balloons, face cutouts, noisemakers, etc. are not allowed.   • ASL Interpreter
    • If a guest requires the use of an ASL interpreter, please reach out to Mrs. Yearwood at [email protected]
    • The graduation ceremony will have closed captioning available on the screens.
