During the fall of 2021, Gainesville High School became the thirteenth high school in Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS). Gainesville is a comprehensive high school of 2590 students located in a suburban community approximately 35 miles southwest of Washington, D.C. Gainesville offers students challenging advanced, AP, and DE curricula connected to our specialty program, Pathways to Global Citizenship, with concentrations such as: Mathematics, Biomedical Science, and Engineering, Design & Construction. Gainesville High School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
