Approval Notification: All submissions will be approved by 3:00 pm onAugust 12th.
Painting Window: Students may paint their parking spot between 7 am and 7 pmAugust 13 to August 23. Note: Students must be off school grounds after 7 pm and students are not permitted to leave any painting supplies overnight.
Guidelines
Parking lines may not be painted over – tape must be applied to your space to create clean lines and a 6-inch gap between lines and parking space number
Parking space designs must be approved by the administration before painting.
No inappropriate abbreviations (examples of acceptable abbreviations: 2k24, GHS, Colleges, etc…)
Must abide by Prince William County School Regulations and Code of Behavior
No slanderous or obscene wording (including curse words and or phrases/symbols) may be used
Administration has the right to ask any student to remove any inappropriate designs at any time for any reason. *If your design changes in ANY way between its approval and painting, you will be required to paint over the design at your expense.
Only exterior all-weather paint may be used on the parking spaces. This should be a water-based paint and not an oil based paint. We suggest you talk the paint department about what you are doing and let them help you with paints, how much to purchase, and colors.
All paint and supplies must be provided by the student and must be taken home every day.Any paint/supplies left at the parking spot will result in a one-week suspension of the parking pass.
You must bring in your own water source, no school facilities may be used to clean paintbrushes etc.
