In April the PTSO recognized the Administrative Staff of GHS for all their hard work and dedication to the Cardinal Community. We thank them for their unwavering support.
As we step into May, we get closer to our 3rd Annual After Grad party! This event, eagerly anticipated by our community, is a pivotal moment. However, we’ve noticed a gap in parent involvement, which is crucial for its success. To ensure not only a memorable experience for this year’s seniors but also for future generations, we need active participation from all community members.
To support and offset food costs, we’re seeking donations in the form of gift cards for the following items:
- Chick Fil A Nugget Trays (4): $400.00
- Chipotle Fix Your Own Bowl for (100 servings) $1500.00
- Domino’s: $75.00
- Five Guys: $600.00
- Bottled water 10 cases
We’ve set up a Signup Genius for $25 increment gift cards to the listed locations. If you’re inclined to donate $50, simply select two $25 gift cards. Volunteers will be needed for the night of the After Grad Party to set up/decorate, monitor party events, and clean-up. We need your help to make sure the night is a success. Any parent/guardian can volunteer. Across PWCS, the Senior After Grad Party is a parent driven event. Attention Class of 2026 and Senior Parents
- After Grad Tickets on Sale now!! - Join us on May 29, 2026 from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM at the 3rd Annual After Grad Party hosted by GHS PTSO. We are dedicated to providing a safe and supervised event where students can celebrate their graduation with unforgettable memories in a substance-free environment. Tickets are $50.00 each and include access to all activities, food and drinks, and a ticket for raffle prizes. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.gainesvillehighptso.com/senior-after-grad-ticket
- Senior Shout Outs – This is the perfect way to celebrate your Senior at graduation. The Shout Out video will play once the doors open to Eagle Bank Area which is one hour before graduation starts. The video will play on a loop for 45 minutes. The last day to purchase a Shout Out and submit one picture of your graduate is May 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM. NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE MADE. - VIP Ticket Graduation Raffle – This is your chance to be a VIP at graduation. The PTSO will be selecting two lucky winners. One winner will receive reserved seating for six at the 2026 graduation ceremony at Eagle Bank Arena, a $50.00 Visa Gift Card, and a $100.00 Black Sheep Restaurant Gift Card. Additional prizes will be added. The second winner will receive reserved seating for six at the 2026 graduation ceremony at Eagle Bank Arena. Tickets are $10.00 each. - Senior Scholarship. PTSO will be awarding two lucky graduates a $500 scholarship. Requirements are: must be a currently enrolled GHS student in good standing; GPA of 3.0 or higher; and must have a parent or guardian who is a member of the PTSO. The PTSO has the following fundraising events for the 2025 – 2026 school year:
- No Frills Fundraiser – No popcorn, no cookies, no pizza, and no magazines. Families can donate to the PTSO from the comforts of a couch or recliner. The PTSO is trying to raise sufficient funds to support GHS students and teachers in the form of microgrants, host appreciation events, and provide scholarships to a few Senior graduates. - 3rd Annual Cardinal 5K Run/Walk– On Saturday, May 23, 2026, the PTSO will host its 3rd Annual Cardinal 5K Run/Walk. Student registration is only $20.00 Regular registration is $40.00 until May 22nd. Registration on race day will be $50.00. Each person that registers is guaranteed a swag bag and the first 100 race finishers are guaranteed a customized finisher medal. There will also be a contest for who dresses the most patriotic. Each finisher will also receive a free Kona Ice!! Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck will also be there in the morning.
